Oil return tube picture

Tube is fully inserted into case and head. I thought the visible groove is for retention clip, but then clip won't be seated against other tube? Something wrong here?

It's actually possible to push them in too far. The clip and the groove are just next to the overlapping pipe and you are not off by much. The clip will move freely in the groove and doesn't rest against the bigger side. Simply visually inspect both sides and you'll see one is further in -pull that side back out then make sure it's seated in the head or case properly.

The case side looks fine check the other side not pictured.
