Back Fire Pressure Relief Valve

Can someone explain what's involved in installing a Back fire pressure relief valve to the air box, and where are they purchased. It's to be installed on a 3.0 SC ('83).
Thank you

The valve can be purchased on this site as well as others. Easy to find by using Google.

Installation is relatively simple. Drill an appropriate size hole in the bottom of the air box directly over the intake (left side of the box floor.) Best to grind down some of the ribs of the air box floor to get a firm continuous seat for the valve. Use care to avoid plastic scraps from falling into the intake under the hole. Using a two part epoxy, glue the valve into the air box making sure the hinge of the valve is facing the rear of the car. Done.
