Rear sway bar bushings

I have a 1983 SC coupe and decided to replace the rear sway bar bushings. I live in Cleveland, Ohio and the roads are not the best due to many pot holes and the lack of the committees repairing them. I do not track the car just simply drive it on nice weekends. Looking for bushings a bit better than stock. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Are your sway bar bushing worn or loose ? I have a new set still in a bag after doing my full suspension re-fresh a few years back that I forgot to put on. The old bushings came on my car and I can see no record of being changed so are maybe 30 years old. They look fine and fit tightly. I'll change them someday when my sway bar bracket breaks off or cracks as I read it must want to do but that hasn't happened yet. I'm amazed how good the old ones seem to be still. New ones look exactly like the old. They only provide a bit of swivel surface so not much pressure on them until you get really cornering very hard. They are a very thin rubber item, only a bit of material doing anything here.

Stay with the stock bushings. The aftermarket bushings are really not an improvement and they may be a downgrade.

Replacement of the rear bushings is a relatively simply process. If you do decide to stay with stock replacements we have them here if needed: 1983 Porsche 911 SC Coupe - Sway bar bushings. We also have a great DIY to help you tackle the job here: Porsche 911 Sway Bar Bushings/Bracket Replacement | Pelican Parts DIY Maintenance Article.

Thank you everyone. I think I will stick with the OEM brand for the bushings.
