Looks very nice!
Congrats. |
Thanks Bill, I guess I should have put this in off topic, sorry about that
|
took me almost 3 mo of watching craigslist to get my trailer. see a good one listed at reasonable price. call... gone before I could even get there.
but maybe good, the one I got is perfect. now off to the first DE this weekend. |
Nice steal!! Hard to find any that nice around here...all driven thru the salty winters!
|
Why stop looking, you could flip that thing and make money.
Or just enjoy it. That is a great deal. |
Sweet. Miss my 914. 5 Lug conversion is a nice touch and worth a lot of rubles.
|
look super clean!
|
Maybe you should stop looking and I should start! Nice looking car.
|
Man just looked at this thread again what do a set of 1972 date match go for these days? 3 grand.
|
Good for you, those are fun. Had many of them and regret selling them all. Need help or suggestions just ask. Of course the maniacs at 914world.com - The largest online 914 community! are also available.

Looks like a whole bunch of fun. Those wheels are a major bonus. Well done!
|
Thanks all! I saw the ad and it had no mention of the fuchs whatsoever! 4 other callers behind me and the ad was only 6 hours old. I'll take it!!It has KYB adjustable shocks on the back as well.....I just have to get my parking arrangements sorted out
|
Score!

Just in case you have any issue with parking arrangement. I have an extra spot in my garage. :D. Good score bro. |
I owned a silver 914 same year and power plant! Still miss that little go kart! My first Porsche. Have fun with it!!
|
Hated mine that I bought in the late '70's. Back wheels tore off the body at the trailing arms; wasn't rust, just plain old metal fatigue. Weak point; I understand they sell a reinforcing plate to strengthen that area. Keep a good eye on those back wheels. They don't call it the flexible flyer for nothing...

How were the Fuchs mounted? Adapters or mods to the hubs and a front end swap?

Stock rotors with re-drilled hubs then studs pressed in:) I was wondering that myself and had to check it out as soon as I got home. Alloy lug nuts too. |
I am heading down south Thursday AM. I can stop by and check it out. I have tons of 914 experience....send me your contact info is you like.
