Need advice on installing new steering wheel
Hello everyone!
I recently got a limited edition Speedhunters steering wheel made by Renown USA. (I'm a crazy fan for everything Speedhunters.com) Anyways... I don't have any hub/mount for it. I saw that our host sells some things, but not sure what I need to buy. Can someone guide me on what I need to purchase to install my new steering wheel so that I can easily take it on and off, and swap out different steering wheels as I add to my collection? Thanks so much!!

Hello! Can you shoot me a PM with your email? I can have one of our P car specialists that knows our hubs pretty well that can direct you to the right one to buy for the use of your new wheel. I just want to make sure you get the correct one and don't have any issues.

Measure the distance in MM between the mounting holes on the new wheel. Have that ready when you reach out to Pelican.
Good luck. |

Renown steering wheels have the same spacing as MOMO ones.

So I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I need to purchase the hub adapter... preferably a quick release connector that still works with horn, etc... I don't think our host sells these? Or I'm not finding the right part.
I saw this on Momo's website, but not sure how it would install, or if I still need to purchase an additional adapter of some sort? ![]() https://www.momo.com/en-us/shop/quick-release-hub/ This seems like an awfully difficult thing to find. Not sure why there can't be a kit, or at least a proper description that says "THIS IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO MOUNT A MOMO STEERING WHEEL". How hard is it to write a proper description??

You'll need, at a bare minimum, the steering wheel and a MOMO hub adapter. The hub adapter bolts between the steering wheel and your steering column and adapts the 6 bolts on the wheel to the splines on the column. A quick release goes between the hub and the wheel. The one linked above will work but you won't retain use of the horn. Look at Works Bell and Tekniq/Snap off for quick release adapters that will let you use the horn.

I have the snap-off and the horn can be wired through it pretty easy. I only remove the steering wheel as a pseudo theft deterrent or when working inside the car to improve access. Wheel fits nice and tight.

Nope, if you look at the unit on Amazon or the mfg's web site if there is one there are nice photos of the little connections in the snap-off itself. It just passes the wires through, nothing fancy. You just ground one of the wires from your horn and only the hot wire actually goes through. Simple once you take it apart. I have a DINO steering wheel on the adapter just like a MOMO attaches.

I have a Momo wheel (Monte Carlo I believe). I have the circuit functioning. I had to shave down the 5 or so little plastic legs on the horn button. I also soldered the wires from my horn button to the red Snap On horn contact adaptor which goes with the wheel side of the quick release. This elimited the spade connectors for space savings. There just isn't a lot of room between the horn button, wires and Snap On adaptor. My horn button gets pushed out a little when I put the wheel on. I can push it back in so it's not a show stopper but I like things tidy.
