stock seats into office chairs
Kinda OT but I'm looking for a way to convert my stock SC seats into office chairs. They don't need to be on wheels but I'd like a nicer setup than on blocks of wood. Has anyone seen a kit for this or put together anything homemade that looks halfway decent? BTW, my seats have the sliders on still. Thanks.

Thought about that very seriously with a pair of Recaros. Way too top heavy. Would require a really big base.

It's simple to do using an old office chair. I bought a used office chair for a few $$ and just removed the chair part. I bolted a piece of plywood to the base and then bolted the sliders to the wood. A piece of plastic trim would cover the wood edge better but I didn't care that much. Makes a great office chair except the base I have is too high so it won't fit under my desk.

It isn't top heavy as suggested by the previous post. Doesn't it fall over?

No pictures, but I used to have an office chair I made out of a 914 seat. It was actually pretty nice and comforable. No top heavy issues since 914 seats are very light - fibreglass and a little padding.
