Two great quotes, one above from Walker (have to remember that one) and looks like a sperm whale by 1979-930. Your buddy Sal just saved himself from spending $2k on a fugly bumper.

FUGLEE, move along....

Doesn't sound like much of a man. Wasn't meant to be I guess.

After looking at the thing, maybe the OP should be considered lucky it wasn't made. I too usually go with to each his own, but I just can't force myself to go there.

Another saying goes, 'You can't buy good taste".

Thanks everyone for your comments and feedback. I really had posted this more as a warning to anyone who might have been tempted to do business with this guy,and have their project schedule get thrown off balance. I really think the bumper and car, for that matter is hideous. A new bumper has been sourced and will be painted and installed soon.Thank you Dave at TRE. The finished car will look awesome. And Dpmulvan I have been in business for over thirty years and if I treated my customers like this, my business would fail. So no I do not think I am the flake. I don't care much for that bumper. The car's lips look too thin.
Sounds like a flake and a rude flake at that.

Polished versus finished or functioning are very different things.

I meant polished AS finished and put together well. Or at least having the appearance of such. Not as in shiny if it came across that way. That thing just kinda looks like it was kludged together.

I'm saying that if you aren't drinking, a lot of cars at SEMA also look kludged together. All the competition vehicles that show up are real running driving cars. But so many of the booth cars just have a ton of the vendor's parts slammed on it in the couple weeks prior to the show and many times don't even run. I've seen engine bays with gorgeous engines in them and everything looks done up and tidy and then there's no fuel lines, or you look under the back and there's no gas tank installed. Once saw a car in a wheel vendor's booth with rotors but no calipers behind the wheels. Don't look too closely at SEMA show cars. They are representative of what you could buy. :D

That poor thing is far and away the ugliest 930 I've ever seen. It looked more like a New Beetle than a Porsche. I'd put my build up against his any day. ....and that lisp

He painted the case.... HE PAINTED THE F'ING CASE

Gotcha. I've never been to SEMA and of course all the pics in magazines don't show that kind of stuff. What you say kinda makes sense, though, if you're just trying to showcase what you sell.

megerian 04-27-2017 07:18 AM

John - when can we see photos of the car (sans bumper ) ?

McLaren-TAG 04-27-2017 12:01 PM

I wouldn't put that bumper on my car if they paid me.

I agree, do the SCRS bumper...similar, but better, look.

BTW where are the turn signals on that Ida bumper? I'm guessing those slits are for an oil cooler

Big thanks to John Szabo for warning others.

The shop in question string you along for months,
started blocking your calls,
and then hung up on you when you identified yourself.

What a sketchy low class operation.

LOL... I see the similarity to the suitcases. Even has the handle in the back.
Maybe put them in the back seat & have a matching set.

johnkszabo 04-27-2017 06:53 PM

Will post some pics of the project car with it's new paint next week. The color Sal chose is an old 356 color, and looks really good. John Szabo
