help to switch from 78 external regulator alternator to 84 internal regulator
 

seeking info to switch from 78 911 external regulator alternator to 84 on internal regulator have the new alternator need help on wiring . thanks

remove the old regulator, and ignore the black wire that used to attach to the brushes on the old unit. the rest of the wires go to the same marked terminals as the old one. cut a notch in the fiberglass rear cover to clear the internal regulator.
