Body Shops Near NYC?
Can anyone recommend a good body shop near the city? I have some rust around my windshield that I'd like to have addressed, and one bubble on a rear quarter panel.
I'm ok paying for quality work, but don't need a concourse restoration. Thanks.

Im not sure they do body work (they dont do body work, see the note bellow) ) Rennwerke is a pretty highly regarded Porsche shop in the area. They may be able to point you in the right direction.

Milan autobody in Clifton NJ has a very impressive facility and has done some great work for PCA members and friends. Talk to pino. They have hosted some NNJ events at their facility and I've seen their work up close. It's very good.

+1! Pino does excellent work, a true craftsman and lover of Porsches. Worth a tour just to see all the long hoods...

Gabriel's Collision in Greenpoint.
Gabe has been working on 911's forever and really knows these cars. His shop is down the block from mine and he is always getting in some very interesting restorations Porsche and others as well. Gabriel's Collision Center

Sports Car Painting in LIC at foot of tunnel. Enzo been doing high end cars for years but by now I am sure his kid has taken over.
Jan's Auto Body in Astoria does a lot of restoration work probably more reasonable cost wise. If you just want to make it look nice and not get killed Joe Sals on 23rd Ave up the block from Jans. Formula Motorsports Lic Is Porsche specific and does good work but he charges. Believe it or not there are a lot of shops in Manhattan also. All depends on what you are looking for and how much money as a lot still uncharge for the name Porsche. You could hit all 4 of them for estimates within 10 min of each other. |

Guys,
Just closing the loop here. I went with Pino at Milan Auto Painters in Clifton NJ. I was truly impressed with their body of work, the care he took of me and the car, and the finished product. Thanks for the suggestions.
