Backdating steering column from 1974 to 1973

I am doing a 73 RS backdate based on 74 model and as a final step I am considering backdating the steering column. What needs to be done besides changing the plastic covers and turn signal and wiper switches? Do you need to change or lengthen the steering shaft itself?

Thanks!

The steering column skeleton is different so you will need to get one from a 69-73. The mounting points are the same and I think the rest of the steering shafts in the trunk are the same also.

Ok, thanks! Anyone who knows if new 69-73 skeletons can be found somewhere? Seem to find all parts (switches, covers, etc), but the skeleton. A nice used one is of course acceptable as well.
