Help - one more hose '77 2.7

Hi all - I am just about to reinstall the engine and reattaching the fuel injection assembly at the intake pipes. I believe I have reattached all the hoses and connectors on the engine and FI itself (more to come after installing in the car) - but I have ONE little hose that I am pretty sure connects to the bottom of the air intake assembly - the spigot runs thru the bottom of the air box and has a small screen in it - the hose is "S" shaped - but for the life of me I can not find where the other end would attach.

I have attached some pics - I would appreciate your help. Pic 1 is the bottom of the air box in the blue circle where I think one end of the hose attaches - this is looking from the FRONT of the engine. Pic 2 is the hose.

I also attached some more pics of the reassembled engine - this is after I have replaced all the various seals and gaskets at the front of the engine and elsewhere, set the valve timing, massive cleanup of 30 years of accumulated oil and grunge, had all the engine tin powder coated, replaced oil-return tube seals, removed the air injection spigots at the cylinder heads and plugged them - just to name a few....I am also pondering on replacing the clutch at this point while the engine is out. There were no problems with it before but at 140K miles I am not sure if/when it was ever replaced - but for sure not in my 20 years of ownership.

The nipple on the bottom of the air box is a drain- verify from under the air filter. It is unmetered air, so not an issue. On my car it connects to a hose that goes behind the back tin; if I remember correctly.

Any chance that hose would go to your cruise control if you have one?

Thanks rwest - yes I assume it is simply a drain - I just don't want it to drain on the front engine area. ;-) I do not have cruise control. Perhaps it just attaches to the drain nipple and hangs down on the outside of the tin - as you have mentioned.

On a 77 you have the oil tank breather fogging fumes into the air box when the fumes condense the oil drains forward.
I have taken the 77 system and added the SC oil tank lines on the top getting rid of the fumes in the air box.
