Glass Cutting Shop in San Diego
The pass side mirror on my 86 coupe fell of while driving the other day and shattered, dried out adhesive, 30 yrs later.
I know I can buy a replacement glass assembly online, however, I have read some Pelicans have had their local glass shop cut a new piece and then apply to the mirror base using 3M adhesive. Does any one know of a glass shop in the San Diego area that is capable of doing such a glass cut. I am skeptical but willing to try this avenue first. Thanks |

Probably not much cheaper than getting the OEM replacement. IIRC it was under $50 for the right part.

Pick up a glass cutter at Home Depot and a piece of mirror. Get enough to practice, wear gloves and safety glasses. Oops, passengers side. Objects in mirror are closer than they appear!

We had some done in the past. I think it was done by All Star Glass in Poway.
