For storage, fold the door mirrors *forward*. They have a detent that allows the spring to be under less tension, and being forward, the rubber frame has no chance of being deformed by contact with the door glass or A pillar.

We are starting with removing the old paint. Next step will be interior.

What color will it be and what plans do you have for the interior? Or just plans to restore it to its original state and not change much? I saw this over on another forum. Happy to see you post it up here.

First primer layer is on.

Luccia it was Linen Grey Metallic and it will stay that way Interior stays black, we are restoring sun visors and the dash, more about that soon. The plan is new paint, mechanical adjustments, and to lower, stiffen the suspension.
