Inner Rear Wheel Housing Repair

Any recommendations on how to handle this repair? It seems none of the usual replacement panel providers carry the full rear wheel house replacement panel. So my body guy and I are at a bit of a loss as to how to handle this fix...

You need either:

A) a very talented metal/body guy that can create new replacement panels from sheet stock

or

B) a donor car from which to source the panels

1) Grind the holes back into an irregular shape where you have good metal around the perimeter of the hole,

1a) Sandblast the perimeter to clean it up,

2) Cover the hole with strip(s) of duct tape, overlapping as necessary,

3) Using a very sharp single edge razor blade, cut out the duct tape along the perimeter of the hole as to make your pattern,

4) apply your duct tape pattern to a new piece of metal and cut to fit, checking fit on occasion,

5) Weld 'er up.

6) Repeat for the next hole!

I guess the work-from-hole-to-hole tactic will not really work out here. I'm more with Tom'74.

btw. it's got "D" sticker, yeay
(D stands für Deutschland, Germany that is)

That area is not for the faint of heart...

Check out this thread for photos of a very talented fellow fabricating relevant replacement panels:

Looking at your photo of the car, my guess is that the visible rust is just the tip of the iceberg on that tub...

It's great to see how the pro's do it. That's one talented dude, thanks for sharing the link. I'm chasing rust all over my 87 coupe and reference pics really help.
