Interior trim hardware...

What is this washer called (arrow) and where can I find them? I'm missing a few on my 83 Cab's door panels and a few other places.

I'm sure that our Porsche part specialist can help you with this, give us a call at 888-280-7799.

Also called "finish washers". You can get at local hardware store or on Amazon, and spray with black paint.
Good luck,
Dave

I picked up this kit and it has been worth every penny.

Thanks both. Since I didn't know what they were called I had no idea what to even ask/look for.

Good find - thanks. I was wondering where to find these sorts of screws. Metric, black and like sheet metal screws with various types of washers. I see black interior screws for American cars but haven't see much at my local auto parts store in metric.

No problem!! This kit made putting everything back together a joy. It has even comein handy a couple times for my Nissan.

I need that kit! I'm restoring a car I did not take apart and I'm really struggling on determining what fasteners go where. Anyone know how to approach this other than looking through the PET for each fastener?

These look great. I hope our hoist will choose to stock something similar.

You won't find metric sheet metal screws, because they're just "American" or "Imperial" sizes with "metric" names. So, the 4.2mm "metric" sheet metal screw is really just a #8 sheet metal screw, with a metric nomenclature. I think the three sizes you'll find in our cars are 2.9, 3.5, 4.2 and 4.8 which are #4, #6, #8 and #10

Otherwise, it would be a 4.0mm metric sheet metal screw ;)

McMasterCarr is another good resource for things like sheet metal screws (especially important ones, like #8 threads with a #6 head, for when the holes are a bit hogged out), finish washers, etc.

3.5x13 is a popular size in our cars, which is a #6x1/2 screw.
