Good Machine Shop in SF Bay Area?
I'm doing a rebuild on my '69 911E, and am looking for a good Porsche machine shop in the SF Bay area. I'm looking for someone competent and experienced, doesn't have to be race-engine-class or best in the land. Anyone have any recommendations?

For most 911 machine shop work: German Precision in Sunnyvale; it's run by Ted Robinson. Very good competent guy. Call him at 408/747-0728; leave a message he'll get back to you.
For cam work (repair, regrinding and modifications): D. Elgin Cams in Redwood City at 650/364-2187. They have a website: www.elgincams.com Cheers, Jim |

I used Ted's shop also. He does good work and is great to deal with.

I have used Sportech and Jerry Woods, both are great,
Sportech is very down to earth and JWE is out of this world, both are near the intersection of 85 and 17, and about 2 blocks apart so if you go to one, visit both. JWE is worth the trip just to see what is inside, last visit, they were building another Toyo Spec car for this season and they had a 908 in the back. Morspeed is across the street and they too always have nice things in the garage. Jim
