Just got my new, late model sunvisors from Pelican to install on my currently visorless 911. Surprise--no screws.
![]() Does anyone know what type/size screws are used to mount the sunvisors and the center clips that go with them? Thanks for helping with another dumb question! ![]() |

I'm not sure if this is a definite solution, but I found a supplier who sell Porsche-specific hardware assortments:
http://www.eagleday.com/washerkits1.html I ordered a couple of their screw assortments and hopefully they will cover this as well as all my upcoming interior projects. Suggestion for Pelican: if you're not going to supply installation hardware with parts, maybe you could sell separately kits of typically used screws and other hardware. I know I find stripped or corroded bits and pieces with just about every part I work on. I don't mind paying a few bucks extra for a couple of screws, but it stops a project cold when the necessary hardware is missing. |

Sunvisor mounting screws, 2 per sunvisor: tapping screw counter-sunk B4.2 x 13; Porsche part number: 900.145.013.02 Center clip (called a "mounting" in the Porsche lexicon), one per center clip; lens-head tapping screw B3.9 x 13; Porsche part number: 900.143.005.02. One perhaps could order these new through a dealer or Pelican Parts but I would also suggest you contact Parts Heaven in Hayward, California. They may be able to take some off a salavged 911 and send them to you. Jim

Excellent! Thanks, Jim. Can you tell me where you found that info? I searched the Pelican parts diagrams and the factory manuals.

I have the factory illustrated parts catalogs for '72-73. These have exploded diagrams and part numbers for every piece in the entire car. The visors are the same for 1971 and look just like the photo you posted. I bought the catalogs (they're long out of print) off E-bay from a nice gentleman in Illinois. Been worth every cent I paid for them. Jim
