Odometer stopped working, but I think it's not the internal gearing
Hi all,
Last fall I changed all my dash lights to leds. Today, after taking the car out of winter storage I realize the odometer stopped rolling. I pulled the meter out of the dash and noticed one of the connectors is missing: (Finger pointing to make connector): https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...fe079e4602.jpg I believe the missing female connector is the one that powers the odo. Am I right? I can't for the life of me find it in my dash, and I swear the only wires I touched were the ones for the light bulbs. Help! 1987 930 Guards Red |
You're definitely missing a connection. Maybe pull out the gauges on either side and see if you can find the missing connector. In my 86 that position had two spade connector attached using a double spade attachment.

Given the couple of weeks since your post, you may have already diagnosed/repaired your initial problem, in which case c'mon and give us a clue as to what it is/was... I've got the nonworking odo situation myself.

Believe it or not I still haven't gotten around to taking care of this problem. I've been taking care of my other toy the last 2 weeks with my limited time and my 930 was stored up on my hoist. I'll start investigating his week.
