I'm not sure which one came out for the better, the 928 or the Opel.

Oh they do all sorts of rebuilds using 924/944 as basis. I have an article on a 944 rebuild to look like a Ferrari 365GT (it doesn't look like it at all, but they think it does). This one seems to be a combination of an Opel GT, a Corvette, a 924 Turbo and some fantasy stuff...? Not my cup of tea.

I like it better than the stock 928 (which reminds me of a smashed Pacer).
That one looks a little like a 250 GTO.

Easy on the 928 bashing!
I had a 928 before I had a 911SC. while the lines on the 928 may take some tome to get used to, the 928 is quite a machine!

who is bashing? I just stated the mod looks like a Opel and 928 smashed together...sammy just thinks a 928 looks like a smashed pacer (ok, maybe a little bashing)...and Doug seems like he could care less either way.

I must say that other than a 911, my choice would in fact be a 928! They are very nice cars...but not when they look like the one above.

Jenson Interceptor...kinda looks like a 928, just older.

College Station....had a monster burrito at Freebirds (i think that's the name of the place)..right accross the street from A&M. Good food.

LOL I wasn't trying to dis the 928, although it's styling is an aquired taste. Actually if they had a better reliability record and weren't so darned expensive to repair and maintain I would have one in my garage. IMO it is more of a GT than a sports car but they are a really nice GT. A friend of mine bought one and loved the car until he had to replace the clutch in it :-)
There have been many, many times when I saw a nice looking 928 advertised locally for under $4k that I was tempted...........

Freebirds on Northgate!!! Good stuff.

I used to eat there on a weekly basis when I lived on campus. I haven't been in a while, it'll add some meat to your bones in a hurry.

2 lb monster burrito...everything but the kitchen sink..ha ha!
When I was racing I did a couple races in the college station area and that's where the A&M team took us. I thought the motorcycle coming out of the wall was the coolest thing!
