My 12 year old had its first accident yesterday. A senior citizen ran a stoplight and I T-boned him. Fortunately it was low speed. But there was damage to the front bumper, hood and left headlight assembly (now I have my excuse to upgrade to the euro H-4's).
Any recommendations for body/paint shops in Northern California (East Bay)? Denny Kahler recommended Cook's Collision, but I would be interested in any other recommendations. Tom '89 Targa ![]() |

Tom-
sorry to hear about your altercation - let me guess, Moraga Road & Mt. Diablo Blvd so some such (I'm in Orinda). I haven't (thankfully!) had need of a body/paint shop, but you might ask John at Valhalla (284.2844) if he has any suggestions as well. I'd be curious to know what you find out, as I might need some work on my passenger door.

Steve,
Thanks for the sympathy. The accident was at Mt. Diablo and Pleasant Hill Rd. I called Valhalla and they recommended Lafayette Auto Body, Classic in W.C. or Cook's. Tom |

try Bodystyles, they are on Brokaw in San Jose, they specialize in Porsches and I have used them and they did a great job!

I met with the insurance company estimator yesterday. They are willing to pay a huge price for parts compared to what they charge at Pelican Parts. For example, they will pay $412 for the chin spoiler; PP price is $250. They will pay $385 for the headlamp assembly; PP price is $247.
No wonder our premiums are so high.
