Sticky Throttle 1986 930
All... I have read a number of the postings and have done searches but did not find what I was liking for so here goes.
Yesterday on a 3.5 hr drive from Atlanta to Asheville the throttle (accelerator pedal) developed a sticky point about 1/4 of the way into the throw. This morning I put the car up on my lift and started working my way forward from the rear of the car checking the usual suspects: - vertical linkage between the bell crank on the transmission and the throttle body (OK- no problem) - Bell crank bushings (OK- no problem smooth) - Pedal itself (OK- removed to eliminate) - Linkage behind the pedal (OK- no problem) HOWEVER when I work the linkage that runs through the tunnel by hand (with the transmission bell crank end disconnected I can hear a "click" sound about 8"reward of the pedal linkage from inside the tunnel. I can not find a picture or diagram of what is in there nor what the problem & solution is. I assume it's a cable assembly but why a click & how to access / disassemble / remove? ![]() Thanks in advance:

My linkage rod bushings #30 were bad on my 911. Was getting hung up also in tunnel.

Thanks... so how do you access the bushings to replace? Can you give me a simple overview of the replacement process?

One is towards the front of tunnel, one in middle and one on end by trans. coupler. You have to just get you finger in there and bend the little piece of metal that wraps around bushing. If you look at bushing it is notched. So it snaps in to place of metal strap. I hope you have small fingers. Good luck.
