who's going to the 24 hrs. of Daytona?

Well the race is this coming weekend,looking forward to seeing The Racers Group Porsches and others plus the new Daytona prototypes,hope to see the Brumos Porsche powered prototype kick some ass! I will be helping out in the Porsche tent in the infield from 8:00 to 11:00,hope to see you there!

i'll be there!! it will be interesting to see the new prototypes!! and it looks like it will be warm .... finally!!

the porsche tent?? is that what they have called the porsche paddock?? last year it was outside the track??

I am thinking about driving down to watch, it will depend on my school schedule. I've never been to a major race like Daytona before. Would it be a good suggestion for the Pelicaners to get together somewhere/somehow? What pre-race events are worth going to see?

unfortunately this is the first year in five that i won't be there.......
be sure to search the paddock area for "trash", i came home with this 2 years ago (a friend has the entire side of the car too)

To ein 6er,yes it is my understanding that this year the tent or paddock is inside rather than outside,it is being set up west of the horseshoe I believe,I will find out when I get there!

no i wasn't able to, but the rotor has written on it "put on s-4 hats r-side"
i tried doing some research but couldn't come up with an exact car for which this came off of.
the wing cam off of a nissan/pilbeam srpII car, i have the wreck on tape with the wing dragging behind the car, here's a pick of that too

and Bob Howard ( the same guy thats in this months Excellence)
will be there. Anybody that wants to know what a 600hp 944

Keep that thought for warm weather. We will be there wishing the Grand Am team of Brent Martini/Cort Wagner (Porsche)success in the first cup race of the year, and then on Saturday Wagner/Martini/Tremblay/Wellman (Ferrari) for the 24 hr.

I'll be there with some friends. This will be my first Rolex and I'm really looking forward to this one. Even if something goes horribly awry, the change in weather will be nice considering the Washington Post is reporting tonight's weather to be "fridged" (6deg with the wind chill)
