CHT ohm reading?

This is just a basic question but...

As I check the ohm output of my 2 wire CHT sensor I can see it reads a high resistance when the engine is stone cold then as I run the car the resistance drops.

I'm not sure exactly how hot it gets as I have no numbers on my temp gauge but when the needle is just above the bottom block on the gauge (and still a good distance from the first little mark) the resistance read about 200 ohms.

My point being - does my CHT sensor look like it is reading too high too soon thus causing my car to stall when it's warm?

It just seems to be reading a very low resistance very soon after starting the car?
If somebody could qualify this sort of result I'd be most grateful

PS - the DME relay should be here tomorrow ro rule that out.

Thanks
Richard.

Richard,
That sounds OK to me. The heat temp sensor is in a place that gets warm pretty quick.

Thanks Chris,
I just thought it seemed to reach min resistance within a few min's of turning the engine on. The temp gauge has loads of travel left.

I guess it's only used to set the choke on the engine, and it obviously wouldn't be on choke beyond a few min's would it.

Cheers
Richard
