MFI thermostat connection

What do people connect the hot air side of the MFI pump thermostat hot air
input to if you have a straight racing exhaust without heat exchangers?

thanks

You need to go to a manual screw.
The stock heat exchangers have a tube which feeds hot air to the tube. You could also fabricate a small heat exchanger around the collector.

Years ago I read that the factory would use a small bulb under the thermostat in an enclosure on header equipped race cars. I believe it was Roland Kunz who relayed this info. I don't believe he has posted in years.

Garage
you remove the thermostat and build and aluminum plate to cover the area. Duplicate the base of the thermostat housing.

Drill a hole in it for a 6mm screw, install a steel helicoil. INsert a 6mm bolt and use this to adjust overall mixture of the MFI.

I did this years ago on my 2.7 and it is a great mod.

Just remember that you have to push the lever in with the screw or the MFI will run way rich like a cold day!!!
