Is that only for an '84 coupe?

I noticed at the bottom of the page there is a link to "Browse Brakes parts for all 911 (1974-1989) vehicles".

I have to say that one of my pet peeves with Pelican's parts is the fact that the long hood 911 cars are separated from the bumper cars. WHY?

Pretty sure it's just a sample of how they plan on changing the look and function of the site- all sections would be done in a similar fashion.

Hey, Wayne. I personally like the old, but the new does look neater.

rwest 06-03-2017 02:01 PM

Wayne,

It does seem like the new style would make for a quicker find of what I'm looking for.

The old listing is more compact and easier to scan on my 13" MBP. I do like having the listing items in black bold font in the new one, but not a fan of the images. I'm guessing you're trying to make the listing to also support phons and tablets.

The complaint has been that the three column way of presenting it was difficult to read. Also, the design / fonts / graphics were a bit dated, compared to the new look & feel of the rest of the site. I'm used to the old way too, but it does look outdated. Most people aren't engineer types (except for the people on this board), and may have difficulty reading the three column format?

I've never liked the 3 column format.

Two column is cleaner and easier to read.

The graphics are distracting. I just want to see what I'm looking for and click.

The new look is cleaner, and less busy as its spread vertically.

Merci Wayne,

I am with Shaun. Lose the clip art. It seems kind of hokey (and dated). I only want to see pictures of actual parts.

I like the new format. Looks more intuitive too me. I've used other sites in this format and prefer it.

+1 on the new format. Basically easier to see and navigate.

New style is nice.

To my eyes, the layout being more spread out over the page and highlighting only the individual sections makes finding something specific a little easier as compared to the previous page which has every single item in bold lettering and being so crammed together. I didn't have any problems finding what I wanted with the old layout, it just seems easier to read with the new layout.

The new format is a lot easier to select a sub group on a mobile device.

I can live with either one; however, I can scan the new version quicker to zero in on what I want to see. Compared to some other sites, even the older version is a pleasure.

I'd get rid of the side nav bar and replace it with an expandable or dropdown menu for all options but the category you're currently on and the sub-categories of it. I'd also get rid of the of the rigid 2-column tables and have it shift to a 1-column arrangement at a small screen breakpoint (a la this decade). And of course, dump the clip art.

New looks good !

I'm in the camp of the new is easier to read.
