Help ID metal snorkel

I'm trying to figure out what engine/model the top snorkel is correct for. Originally I thought it was for a 69-71 with A/C since it goes the other direction but now I'm not sure. Then I thought it might be a 914/6 but I don't think they had the small tube off the end of the snorkel. It is very different than the typical 911 all metal snorkel on the bottom. I have more pictures of both if needed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

original one on my 70T had the snorkel going to the other side due to aftermarket AC. You are right. Steve

Do you recall if yours was like the one in the pic? Was it 2 pieces welded together? Almost looks like it was modified from the other type but the angle of the bend and location of the small tube at the end are different than the regular type.

J Bell, here are the two that I have. The all metal one is the one that was original to the car with the AC. Now that you mention it, it was welded, rather sloppily, to the base. The other one has the plastic snorkel on it and I believe that a few 70 911s had them also. Also sorry for the delay, had to dig them out. Steve

Two piece snorkel looks just like a Solex piece. But the Solex snorkel base didn't have wing nut tangs - they were retained by clips. Are you certain that hasn't been modified?

Not a 100% sure on the plastic one, but from several posts here, previously, it seems that there were several variations of the snorkel from 70-71. I am totally sure on the other one. Steve
