It's cuter than most things with a GM 6-cyl and automatic tranny, but the problem is it's got a GM 6-cyl. and automatic tranny.

Looks more like a mildly-riced MR2 than a Carrera GT

another Fiero gives up its mundane ways for life in the Fast Lane! If those engineers at Pontiac only knew how their fine (Heh heh) creations would rise from the ashes to become P*r*c*h* GTs, Lambo Diablos, and GT-40s

Most supercar engines last only 12000 miles? What kind of VOC is this guy breathing? He should have used a Boxster as the base car to mount the FG to.

In addition to the asterisks in Porsche, it looks like he has problems using Porsche crests on this thing judging from the ad text. I wish he had kept those cool Fiero Holley side scoops...

I like it a lot more than most of the crap I see in parking lots and on the freeway every day.

O.k., it definitly doesn't pass the concours test-by a looong long shot... but I think this board is looking out the window and commenting at something on the road far away.
After going to a couple of kit-car-fests and seeing the raw fiberglass edges, sheet metal screws and lines too short etc... on wannabee Ferarris and Lambourginis, this does make a good attempt. Except for the ride height. I think with a big phat(spelled correctly) booming stereo it would pass the 20 feet/20 mph test for total pimpness. That's what seems to work nowadays. Like moths to an incandecent.
And, who cares what some silione push-up bra thinks about a fake watercooler anyway? Does this cheapen the Porsche brand? Nope. They are not even aware.
Its not a Pcar and never will be. Pay 35k for some boom and shine and nanny? Oh well.

I think you guys are being way to critical... It's a Kit Car for pete's sake!
Do I like it ? Hell yesss looks pretty sweet to me.. Looks well done from what I can see. Would I buy it? No!!way!! would I ever invest that type of cash into a Kit Car Nope!
Someome out there is going to dish out the cash without giving it a second thought.. Would I respect that person for owning it..sure.. It's not a Porsche but it's still nice.

It all boils down to this: Are you a car guy or a Porsche guy?
Nothing wrong with either. Now get back to work!

Bidding's up to $26k. I think he's on to something. Wouldn't you like to build Porsche-alikes out of old Fieros?

Hell, when I was a kid I thought the Fiero GT Fastback was about the coolest thing out there. I remember building models of Fieros and converting them to be Fastbacks.

Hey Amir, I think it looks much better than a 996 or Cayenne! Now if it could have a Porsche drivetrain, dash and be lowered it wouldnt be a bad car....

Later...

What I find amusing is the fact that this is probably the closest any of us will come to seeing the real thing.

That is the best looking Fiero I have ever seen. There are issues: the little silver screws holding the rear lights on, the auto tranny and the fugly console around it, the ride height, and the way those wheels show off the rear drum brakes to full (dis)advantage. I think V6 Fieros had a 2.8 liter engine; his claim of 100 horsepower per liter demonstrates stupidity.

He clearly is trying to fly under radar so Porsche doesn't sue him.

I like the look a lot; kinda Lotus Elise but sleeker. But given his claims, I don't trust the quality. Buyer beware, then drive it like the be-atch it is!!!
