Fuel pump controller?
I am currently running Weber 40's in my 911, and replaced my OEM fuel pump with a Carter electric inline low pressure fuel pump, and a PMO fuel pressure regulator. The pump is a bit loud and annoying (relocated to the smugglers box), and actually puts out closer to 7PSI, but is regulated down to 3PSI for the carbs. Doing some reading it seems that a lot of people run fuel pump controllers to optimize fuel delivery - when the key is turned, the pump will only prime for 3 seconds to fill the bowls, and then wait for a tach signal to run, it will also vary the voltage to the pump depending on the tach signal. Has anyone used one of these on a 911?
