Cam housing won't stop leaking oil
First of all, Happy Father's Day to all you crazy car dads!!!
I've got an oil leak I can't seem to fix. It's where the banjo connects to the bottom of the right cam cover. This isn't mine -- I just circled it in this pic from the Pelican catalog. ![]() I've tried replacing the washers on both sides of the banjo. Same result. I think these are aluminum and the originals may have been copper. Could that make a difference? What's the problem here? Is it possible I'm over-tightening? Any suggestions on how to fix for good would be greatly appreciated.

The fitting that comes through the cam cover has an oring. If the cam covers have been off recently the oring may have been cut when re-assembling.

Good thought. Is the o-ring on the inside of the cam cover?

Yes, the cam cover needs to be removed to change the oring.

Excellent, thanks. I will check that. Just need to find a part # for the o-ring then.
