Not to mix metaphors here but I thought we were talking about a four cylinder. Mz. Q's herd does contain one each, four & a six, and the thread does kind of jump around.

Regardless, the above advice is valid. Got to make sure the plug wires are on correctly before you go further. ID #1 with the timing wheel parked at TDC, rotor should be parked pointed at #1 plug wire. Then follow each wire in the rotation around the cap and verify the wire goes to the correct cylinder. Pretty simple with the 4, little more complex with the 6. Same principal. Or principle. Sorry, banker, not grammarian.

How was your weekend energy, QM?! If on the low side, maybe these will help!

Subscribed, Enjoyed your post about your 911. Now midway through your Outlaw post. Admire your tenacity and willingness to dive right in! I have experienced (am experiencing;-) many of the things that you have written about while in the process of converting my 78 911 SC from a track car to a daily driver. I just saw this 76 912 on eBay and the photos may shed some light on instrumentation and engine compartment parts location. All the best!

You didn't shock yourself silly touching the battery terminals with one of your fancy rings, did you?!?! At around a buck-o-five, doing that might launch you into orbit!!!
