It sounds nasty!

Just completed my SSI and RSR style muffler modification tonight. It looks mean and it's loud. I've started the car while I was still deciding on the muffler. Typical track day open exhaust, but while my own car sounds like that, can't help that smile on my face. Finally, I decided to get the "RSR" muffler so it'll match the my next project-RSR front and rear bumpers. Too bad, it's late when I got it done. But tomorrow I'll take her out to see the improvement myself.

I once started my 2.7 without a muffler. It sounded like a cross between a Harley (at full noise) and a P51 Mustang at idle. I lay on the garage floor in a stunned stupor until I mustered the mental strength to get up and switch the damned thing off. It was amazingly loud.

The neighbors were real pleased, too.

It scared the crap out of me! I had a friend start it for me, but he ran off when he heard how loud it was. I was crouched down behind the car, right next to the pre-muffler!
