Tires

After reading many posts about tires I am still not finding the information that I want.

I need new tires for my 1983 911SC with 16x6 and 16x7 Fuchs. I like the profile of the current 15 year old Dunlop SP5000s on the car, but they must go for obvious reasons. No need for all season tires as this car will see fair weather only, summer tires will be fine.

Please reply with your suggestions and pictures. Anyone running Bridgestone RE11's?

Thanks in advance for your help?

I just put a set of Michelin Pilot AS3+ (205 55 16 front, 225 50 16 rear) on my 1982 Sc.

Very happy with them.

I've got some friends who are really picky about tires and they all rant and rave about the new Continental ExtremeContact Sport. Supposedly every bit as good as the Michelin Pilot SuperSport for a lot cheaper.

Next time I need summer performance/everyday tires I'm buying a set.

I have on order from Costco the Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 N. This a Porsche approved tire and only made in the 205/55/16 and 225/50/16.

I'm really happy so far with the Contis. Would buy them again.

I remember reading about quite a few people being happy with the Dunlop Direzza tires - they're quite inexpensive but a great tire from my experience on a different car.

Same tires going on my car in a few weeks. Interested to see how they turn out, I couldn't really find that many posts/reviews about how they are on our cars in terms of sidewall stability etc
