Early front bumper identification

All,
I purchased a decent front bumper many years ago in case I stuffed my '68 912. When I bought it I assumed it was for an early car ('65-'68) but now I am unsure as it may be for a later model ('69-'73). I don't see any stamping. How can I tell what I've got?
(Maybe this is another lesson when we ASS-U-ME?)

69-73.

Fog Light Mounting brackets differ as does the position of the centre mountings to the body.

If you look here on PP's site you can see the difference in the fog light bracket.
