Road 911 - Grand World Tour in a '71 911T

Porsche enthusiasts in the Ottawa region had the pleasure of welcoming Chris and Madi recently during a stop on their world tour in a 1971 911T. During one day of their visit, we drove around the countryside, making numerous stops to take photos and drone footage of our air-cooled cars in the beautiful fall colors. We then headed back into the city to attend an event hosted by the local Porsche dealer in honour of Chris and Madi. We all had the pleasure of discussing their tour and hearing numerous stories of encounters with other Porsche fanatics in other countries. At the end of the event, the Canadian flag was added to the flag stripe on the hood of their 911, already wearing the flags of the countries previously visited.

They left yesterday morning, wisely headed south to avoid the fast approaching Canadian winter. They are headed towards the states of New York and Vermont, hoping to catch more vibrant fall foliage.

just spoke to Chris on Facebook...sure brings back memories...we did our world trip exactly 10 years ago in our bahama yellow 1969 911 T....

Chris must have been happy you contacted them, wreckah! There aren't a lot of people who know what it's like to travel great distances around the globe in an old 911. I found your threads on your adventure to China - I'll be definitely be reading those. Too bad some of the photos are not showing.

Looks like Chris and Madi decided to go to Toronto instead of crossing the border south of Ottawa. I encourage every Porsche enthusiast on their path to reach out to them - they are one of the coolest couple I ever met and will never forget the time I spent with them.
