What year did Blaupunkts start being made in Japan
I've got an old stereo that was in my 67 912. I will try to dig it out and take a picture, but I distinctly remember it having a made in Japan sticker instead of made in West Germany. I just want to advertise it accurately when I list it for sale.

Interesting question.
I know they were made in Japan as early as the early 80s. The CR-3001 that I bought new in '82 had a "Made in Japan" sticker on it, I remember being surprised at that. |

Matt, find Scott Turnbull in the Parts Classifieds section. He is THE guru of old Blaupunkts and Beckers, very nice bloke too. Just remember to email him; he's not a PM guy. John in CT.

I've seen him selling. I've been checking his ads to see if he sells one. Just didn't want to bug him. I'll get in touch.
