Clean intake runners. How to preserve?
 

I have some very clean intake manifold runners. What should I do before I install them to keep them that way? I have seen some apply clear coat but if it starts to flake it doesnt look good. I am not going to polish. I would like it to look natural so no colored powder coating.

Any suggestions?

Boeshield or Gibbs. I have used boeshield which is an aluminum preservative developed by Boeing on my magnesium fan and it lasts about 2 years, doesnt collect too much dirt.
