... could you please send me some pictures of a MFI with air filters directly on pipes (I mean 3 pipes together; I don't know the right word
)on 2.2s or 2.4s; does it filter as well as the stock one? is there any problem with that (rain,...)? On 2.4, is it a problem to suppress the part which brings hot air to the intake, in order to facilitate cool starts?I've made a search on prévious threads, but with no success, and I think that MFI stock air filter is ugly, whereas it's so cool to have pipes.... Send me your pictures, folks !!!

ITG's might be a little iffy in a hard rain since the foam element is also on top. Perhaps the K&N Rainshield housings (not filters) might be a better choice.

Sherwood, that's Tom's daily driver! Or was, until Tom bought his 914. Tom lives in Portland, Oregon...where it rains, oh, about four feet per year. What really impresses me with this engine is the use of RSR fuel lines. Tom said there was a problem with the hard lines clearing the air cleaner set-up. A way cool car, this! Every time I see it I have to stand back a bit, so the drool falls on the blacktop!
