attaching heater control boxes

Hi, I'm dreaming of putting things back on the car one day and realised that the air control boxes are missing the oval-shaped pieces that connect them to the footwell area. Actually, I found one among the various bits, but it's in sad shape.

I looked through the usual suspects in the US and europe, and through all the classified until my eyes teared up, but no sign of anyone selling these. This is one part that cannot rust, and it looks well protected in case of an accident. I'll post a WTB, but if there is another solution I missed, please tell me!

Dear Dmitry, thanks for the link but I do not see the part I have pictured anywhere. Maybe I missed it, but I looked through all the section(s) on heating and ventilation several times!

I think this is called a connecting flange part number 911 571 051 00.

That's it!, Thank you!!

Now I'm beginning to understand, it is in the 77 parts catalogue, which probably means that my heater parts are from a later model. That's why they did not come up when I searched as I had the vehicle set to a '72 model year...

Does someone know if the heater control boxes are interchangeable between the late and early models?

Thanks again,

Dario

I have a used one, the early one are attached to the body with machine screws but the later ones use sheet metal screws but both will work

Appart from one connecting flange and the tubing, is there anything else missing/wrong?
