Early Chrome Bumperette Position

Good afternoon,
Currently in middle of a backdate and finishing up the rear end of the car ('81 SC). I opted for steel center section and chrome bumpers. I have modified fiberglass bumper ends and working on final alignment.
I don't have access to a real car to check, but are the bumperettes parallel to one another or do they lead out from the car at a slight outward angle?

The bumperettes are parallel to each other, as far as I can tell.
