Fuchs: authentic or not?
Hey folks, I'm looking at these wheels that the owner believes to be originals from the rear of an 88 Turbo. (16x9)
I have read the threads on identifying numbers and markings, yet the wheels are so dirty I can see none of the stampings inside the petals. I can however make out some markings toward the outside. The clearest of these say 'Max Wheel Load 1620" and "AEWC".(Or "ALWC".) A little embarrassed I'm not a better detective than this, so hoping someone can help me out. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1500157504.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1500157522.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1500157541.jpg |

And you can tell from the roughness of the casting that they are a cast, not forged wheel. |
Wow, thanks for that. Though I'm disappointed, not nearly as much as I'd have been after the fact. Many thanks.

Sent you a PM if you want the real deal, I have 2 sets for sale. |
There will be a triangle with a fox head, a part number usually starting with 911 and the size.

For future purchases, buy a can of brake clean. spray, let soak, spray again and rub spot with a cloth. It cuts through the built up dust quickly and will let you see if the markings are correct.
