Dutch Porsche Documentation Map

I own my car since 1998 and have kept every receipt and everything to do with the car. The Dutch Porsche dealer organisation has released an official Porsche Documentation map (binder). I like it alot :)

That's really nifty. Don't suppose there's a part number or some other way to get one of these.

I don't keep a log book, but I have a box that houses all my receipts. I try to keep that out of site, every time I decide to look in it I think, hmmmm, so there's where that down payment on a third house went.

No log book per se, but I have a simple text file on my computer: What I did, When I did it, Cost, and Comments.

I just keep a note pad in the glove box. In all my cars and one in the shop for all my toys. Its more for me than the next owner but im sure it helps. I sold my truck and the new owner was glad to see it was taken care of even though it didnt look it lol

Thanks for reminding me to enter my last three items, added fender liners, new starter, added driving lights, plus date and mileage.

I don't recall from where, but I got a template for a Service Invoice someone made up (Maybe from User theiceman on this thread?)

I modified it for my own use. When I DIY, I create a new tab on the file for that car (SC/997) labeled with the job and date. Here's an example of the template format (personal info removed.)

I maintain an xls "Maintenance plan" which is specific to my car. (1978 911 SC)

I have enhanced the Maintenance plan with mileages/intervals etc. so I know what year I need to do what maintenance.
On other tabs I list all projects which I have finished / planned.

Nothing fancy but works very well for me. Can also be of value in a potential sale of the car (which is not planned :))

If there is any interest, I can share!

Right, so what happens when you change a turn signal bulb?
