3M Panel Adhesive - 08115

Hi All -
I am making some steal mounts for a fiberglass bumper. Was kinda hoping I could use a panel adhesive to keep things easy, verses glassing them to the back side of the bumper. I did a bunch of searching and the 3m 08115 seemed to be the go-to product - however, some of the threads were pretty old.

Is the 3M 08115 still the recommended product to bond glass and steel?

Thanks!
Scott S

Never mind - there is no way I am going to spend 300.00 on a manual applicator gun for 4 bumper mounts.

Check out Plio Grip for that application. Gun is $45. Cartridge is $50 if they make that bonding agent. I have been using it for repairing panels above rear wheels on pickups.

Todd at Helion just recommended this for me to use to bond in a carbon sunroof panel:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006L13MC

I'm getting this applicator for it:

Same dealio as Plio Grip. Sweet. Cheaper too.

I swear that this stuff is stronger than JB Weld. It's vicious.

I've used 3M's panel bond 8115 and the SMC repair stuff 5885.
Both are in the same 2 part tube dispenser and I don't have the gun.
I just used a dowel with graduated marks to press out equal amounts and then I just mixed them, but I was only using small amounts to do some tail repairs.
I didn't use the mixing applicator that screws on.
