2002 911 (hard to soft foam gasket)

Please have a 911 tech respond to this inquiry. See attached photo, found these pieces on the floor just below my clutch and brake pedals. This is the 2nd time I found a large piece of this same gasket on my front floor of my car. The first time was about 2 years ago and my thoughts this last time is the remaining gasket left. I have no idea where this dropped down from but I need to know if this vital gasket that needs to be replaced. Thank you. My call back # 712-251-7098

That could be a seal from the cabin air inlet/heater system.
