JWest shifter length.

Thinking about buying Jwest shifter

They come with 2 shifter lever options.

Do you guys know the actual length of them? Short and Long?

I would like to mock them in my car and see which one I order.

Thanks

I have the longer one in my car, I can measure tonight when I get home from work. I will measure from the base of the shifter housing (where it meets the tunnel) to the top of my shift knob, while in the neutral plane. FWIW, the extended shift level is an excellent option, puts the shifter more in line with where it should be IMO.

Edit: or give me the dimensions that your are specifically looking for and I can measure that as well.

JW Shifter

Hello
I Wanted an extra long shifter and I ended up mixing brands.
I installed the JW long shifter and the WEVO long knob. The end result is a very long shifter that it is closer to the steering wheel like on rally cars and makes the hand transition very effective and comfortable.

I have the long Rennshift lever and it is approx 9" end to end using a straight ruler. It is the perfect length for me and doesn't require any reach when shifting. I hope that helps.

Hi...Will the factory leather boot cover the complete JWest shifter -aka- Renshifter, or is that not possible due to it's mechanism? (1986 Carrera)

Thanks in advance!

It's roughly the same size as the original 915 body so I believe it will cover it.
Cheers
