Stereo Project -- Decent Amp ?
Vehicle : 88 911 Coupe
Head unit : Pioneer DEH-80PRS Front Speakers : Alpine SPR-50C Component Speakers Rear Speakers : inherited from PO, Alpine of factory size Powered Sub : Kenwood SW11 (under passenger seat). Research seems to suggest that an external amp should be used with the Alpine SPR-50C Component Speakers. I would be interested in comments on what Amp others have found effective ... Alpine makes a good quality amp, as does Rockford Fosgate, Kicker, JL Audio - any of those should work well. It sounds like you're running a basic system, so nothing fancy is needed.

Interested in installing an under-the-seat sub myself. Do you have power seats? I'm concerned about clearance.

Amp: Kenwood KAC-M3004. Its small. Really small. Puts out a lot of power for what it is with a really small foot print (did I mention how small it is?) Look up some videos of it on you tube. Power was verified and in some cases it actually out preformed its claimed range. RMS maxes out at 75watts which is in your range for the components you listed. Not sure what ohm range your speakers can run though, it wasn't listed on crutchfield.
For the rears: If you HAVE to have them, run the off the deck. They are mainly for fill anyway and I haven't seen a speaker yet that can handle a great deal of power and be mounted on the rear parcel tray in the back. I currently run Infinity Reference 6.5 Components in sealed doors with spacers with the amp listed above. I don't feel the need for a sub to be honest. I have run a deck in the past, but right now I just run a 12v Bluetooth module directly to the deck and use my phone. I have a radio delete in the dash to keep things clean. I stuffed the amp under the carpet between the footwell heater tube and chassis. Fits perfect and never gets that hot (class D amp). -Steve

I have a Porsche CD-R 220 head unit with 6.5" kicker door speakers and 6x8 kicker rears, and an under seat amplified kicker 8" subwoofer. It is plenty loud. The bass also sounds really good. No need for an additional amplifier if you have a newer head unit. 50x4 watts is plenty in these cars

If you'd like to pair your Pioneer stereo to a Pioneer amp that will do the job as well, check out the Pioneer GM-D1004.

I'd recommend looking at the alpine head units over the pioneer, I have an alpine in the 964 and the pioneer in the '71 and the alpine is so much faster to come up on reading the USB file and start playing music, plus it shows content alphabetically rather than in file order which makes it easier to find stuff.
