wheel refinishing: SF Bay Area Alternative Rite-Way Wheels
this picture doesn't do the work justice but i just had my deep 6s refinished by Jose of Rite-Way Wheel in Walnut Creek, CA. his crew did an outstanding job and i am very pleased. great guy and great service. the wheels were stripped (paint, clear coat), polished, painted and balanced on the car for $75 ea. however i think he now charges $100 ea. my price was from a quote a year ago which he honored. if you're local, ck out his shop and tell him i sent you. can't beat the price and the convenience.

Chroming the rotors just went way too far though
Thanks for the link. The original anodized wheels looked pretty good though, any reason for the change?Does he do real steel wheel chroming as well? The only place so far I've found is Bolton in LA but I'd like to avoid shipping them if possible. Last edited by john70t; 02-01-2003 at 07:08 PM.. |

he only charged me $25 ea for chroming the rotors. after he explained the performance benefits i would have paid twice that. the original wheels were in decent shape but the had their share of curb rash, paint chips/fade, petals scraped, etc. i'd ck with him about your specific needs.
