Removing the condenser protection bar, Belmetric fasteners.
I wanted to remove that condenser bar as I removed all of the a/c last year. I couldn’t do it as the passenger side suspension tow hook was bent and I couldn’t spin the bolt out. Car came with the bent hook. Tried heat and big wrench to bend it back but no go. I ended up cutting the bent tow hook off with a cut off wheel. I wondered about the suspension moving when I removed the plates but I was told (Pelican BBS) that just jack up the car to take the weight of the wheels and it should be good. I also made some scribe marks and nothing moved. I decided to clean up and refinish the suspension brackets as well. I reinstalled the parts with normal zinc plate but I thought I would try out some colored zinc plated fasteners. This gave me an excuse to order a whole pile of washers and bolts for anything I could think of from Belmetric.
Really nice stuff! Installed everything and it looks good. Rest of the underside looks like heck from undercoating but WTH… The bar weighs around 2.5 lbs and is pretty flimsy. The tow hook got bent up but the bar is untouched. IMHO it did not protect anything. I would have to rip off my front spoiler and some of the fascia and before that bar started to work. The front attach point of that bar is pretty flimsy, I can bend it with my hand.
