Project Addict

I've had my 81 SC for about 2- 1/2 years. After constant lurking I started to rip and tear.

New :

Brake lines
Brake Fluid
Front Rotors
Front Pads
Front Shocks
Inner and outer wheel bearings and seals - Front
Sway Bar bushings
Motors Mounts
Trans Mounts
Back Dated oil temp guage
New toyos - (Very Nice)
Rear sport Shocks
Tranny rebuilt - (checKbook mechanic on that job)
Cooler Scoop - ( no comments - I like the damn thing)
Ditributor Cap
Rotor
Ignition Wires
Plugs
SSIs - ( Love Them )
Turbo Tie Rods
Warm up regulator

Brey krause Harness Truss
Brey Krause Fire Extinguisher Mount

Going in next week for alignment and corner balance.

All this on a car with 60,000 miles. Honestly a lot was to avoid future problems.

Almost all parts sourced from pelican - Some from Porsche ( Mistake)

Now instead of standing back feeling a sense of accomplishment, I'm bummed out I'm out of things to do. Yeah I've got some little stuff mostly cosmetic - Wires under the dash etc. but it's not the same. This is an addiction. I find myself contemplating very expensive unnecessary things. Carrera oil cooler - may be necessary - the Elephant Racing widemouth unit would be nice. I will do the 3.6 conversion, but given what the market has done the past two years it'll be another year or so. No real point to this thread, I'm just venting.

I wish summer would get here so I can get to the track and break something!
First Track day in the Philly region isn't till the end of May.

I think I'll go out and reversr the wipers.

I am with you on that!

It's therapy...some people garden, for me it's working on my Porsches.

Maybe it's time for you to add another one

I don't know how you guys do it with multiple project cars. If I bought another car it would be a 914 with only track duty in mind. As supportive as my wife is, half of everything I own would be gone by the time the rear wheels hit the driveway.

New project - Chin Spoiler - Anyone selling one used??
