Hi Pelicans - had a bit of a screw-up in my garage last week, and here is the resulting ding on the front bumper of my '83SC:
![]() Now, it's not big by any means, a nickel would cover it. But since it is deep enough to go to bare metal, I'd like to provide it with some protection. What is the way to go here? Thanks! |

Just sand it down, and few layers of touch up paint until it is level. wet sand/polish the area if you want it to look perfect.

Agree, just touch it up.
The bumper is aluminum so it won't rust. |

Don't feel too bad. I tried to make my tea tray fit better awhile back and took out a penny size piece of paint in the process not to mention messing up the paint on my passenger size quarter panel trying to remove a dent.
