Is this the correct fender seal?
I'm working on repairing some rust in my front drivers side corner and going through and doing some rust prevention (sanding, repainting, stone-chipping) and was ordering a variety of products when I started to think about the fender seal. From some earlier posts I found a butyl tape is similar to factory and I assume black for color.
Will this work? Also - Do I run this tape for every length of the fender where it is bolted up?

AFAIK butyl tape is butyl tape...as long as you like the look of it I say go for it

According to this thread, Terostat Ribbon is just regular butyl tape. None of it is visible with the fender installed. I did as you plan:
